Imogene - Type-A Personality

I think of myself as a bit of a type-A personality. I push myself to do as many things as possible and experience everything life has to offer; however, it goes beyond that. I’m also Asexual and Aromantic, I don’t experience sexual or romantic attraction to any sex or gender which I can confidently say, for a 17 year old, gives me a bit of a different outlook on life. Our world, especially in the age of the internet, puts such an emphasis on romance; it’s in our movies, our books, our communities. Why did we decide romance was “the goal”? I make it a daily effort to remind myself and the world around me that love is so much more than romance, and that all forms of love should be nourished equally. Intrigued?
