All flight requests need to be submitted a minimum of 3 working days before the proposed flight. For drone operations scheduled on a Monday or Tuesday, requests must be lodged by the preceding Wednesday.
For flight on Council land, your flight is not approved until confirmation is received from Ashburton District Council.
The enforcement of unmanned aircraft (drones) regulations is carried out by the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), which is responsible for administering the Civil Aviation Rule.
