RAD Reboot
About the event
RAD is all about getting techy teens into an environment with likeminded people where they can get hands on experience in repairing computers with the outcome being more laptops for us to give away to people who need them.
On the RAD Reboot Day, you will learn about RAD and all the computer hardware basics such as taking apart and re-assembling a laptop, learn what each part does and common problems that computers have when faulty. By the end of the day, you should be ready to refurbish a laptop on your own.
We are holding this training day on Thursday the 22nd of January from 12pm to 4pm.
If you haven't received a RAD laptop from Ashburton Library before and need one for study, after the RAD Reboot you are welcome to join the RAD Club and you can keep the first laptop you refurbish!
We hope some (if not all!) of you that come along to the Reboot Day enjoy yourselves and join the RAD Club!
