Phormium Tenax

Phormium tenax, often refered to as flax, harakeke or korari, has numerous leaves, arising from fan-like bases.

Individual leaves rather stiff at first, but become floppy in the upper half of the plant. Leaves are usually blue-grey or dark green.

Flax has red, pink or yellow flowers from September to January.
