Carmichaelia Australis

a New Zealand broom. It is not closely related to the European species, Common Broom, which has been introduced and is classed as a noxious weed because of its invasiveness.

Carmichaelia australis grows to a height of three to five metres and is hardy and fast growing and is multi-trunked from the base.
