The Ashburton District Council is envisioning a more active and financially sustainable Ashburton Airport as it asks for community feedback on a new draft plan for its future.
Severe winds damaged one of the two new reservoirs under construction for the Methven water supply upgrade last week.
Infrastructure Services Group Manager Neil McCann said the damaged reservoir will result in a two-month project delay, as replacement parts have to be imported from the United Kingdom.

Additional roads have been closed around the Ashburton district because of flooding associated with the rain event and these are being updated on the live road closures map.
Several roads in the district will be closed tonight (Monday 18 July) as contractors clear trees that have fallen in the high winds and blocked lanes.
