VIDEO: Hakatere Home and Heritage exhibition
Ashburton Museum has been receiving some fabulous feedback about its Hakatere: Home and Heritage exhibition, which will have pride of place at the museum until the end of September.
The exhibition is based on a photobook that features 16 local families, who share their culture and heritage. Photos for the book were taken by local photographer Emmily Harmer and some feature in the museum exhibition, which also includes displays of cultural garments.
The exhibition opened in July and has been very popular with visitors, including friends, families, and supporters of those who feature.
The museum is closed under current Covid-19 alert level restrictions, but if you haven’t had a chance to pop in yet, check out the opening event video:
