Short water shutdown planned in Hinds

Properties inside the red outline will be affected.
Some residents in Hinds will be without water on Wednesday 1 April, while a new watermain is connected at the end of David Street.
Water will be off from 9am for about six hours and water supply will be disrupted to properties on the David Street, Peters Street (SH1) and Robert Street (contained in the area in the map).
Rooney Earthmoving will be installing the new connection for Council and it is part of ongoing work to maintain and improve parts of the supply network.
Some residents may also be disrupted on Thursday 2 April, when household connections are made to the new watermain, which runs 830 metres along the full length of David Street.
People may want to store some water to have available during the shutdown, and our contractors will work as quickly as they can to minimise the down time. If you want a cuppa, then make sure the jug is full before 9am, or store some water in a bucket if you want to flush the toilet.
Properties affected by the shutdown have been advised by letterdrop.
