Book in for some wipeout waterpark fun at EA Networks Centre these holidays

Looking for some family fun over the school holidays?

An inflatable waterpark is coming to EA Networks Centre next week and is promising tons of fun for children and adults alike.

The Waterworld waterpark is on a South Island tour, with other stops at Selwyn and Dunedin and will be set up in Ashburton in the main pool at EA Networks Centre from 4-6 October.

Sport & Recreation Manager Richard Wood said two lanes of the main pool were being retained for lane swimming while the huge inflatable was in place.

“This is the first time we’ve hosted an inflatable of this size and it is actually lots of different activities tied together to make up a wipeout course. If you fall off, then you can climb straight back up and keep going. It’s great fun and we think it will appeal to a wide variety of age groups and families.”

Wipeout tickets cost $19.90 per person and are valid for an hour; the first session of each day starts at 9.30am and the last one at 4.30pm – the 4 October session starts at 10.30am, and the 9.30am and 10.30am sessions on 5 and 6 October are for children ages 5-8, plus their supervisors.

Participants need to be aged 5+ and able to swim. Ages 5-8 require an adult supervisor, with a maximum of two children of this age group per adult. All participants will be required to wear lifejackets (which are provided).

Tickets are the safest way to ensure space on the waterpark, though visitors can book and pay on the day. Bookings can be made at: www.wipeout.co.nz/ea-network-centre
