WAKA KOTAHI ADVISORY: The intersection of McMurdo Street and Agnes Street will be open to southbound traffic only from 7am-7pm, beginning Tuesday 5 September for about a week, while new stormwater pipes are installed.

The work is related to Waka Kotahi’s safety improvements to the SH1 Tinwald corridor.

The one-way traffic management will be in place from Tuesday, between 7am and 7pm daily. Traffic will travel in a southbound direction, so please use the signposted detour routes.

This traffic management will be in conjunction with the existing one-way traffic management system on Agnes Street.

Please look out for contractors and follow their instructions.

Footpath access around the work site will be maintained and a 30km/h speed limit will be in place. Please look out for temporary changes.

Access to properties will be maintained. However, the contractors may need to work in front of driveways, but will try to give residents plenty of notice.

If you need to get into or out of your property and machinery is in the way, please talk to staff onsite.
