Glow in the Park is returning this year to the Tinwald Domain over King’s Birthday weekend and organisers are flat out finalising all the dazzling details.

The three-night light spectacle will feature artistic and interactive light installations, including glow in the dark 10 pin bowling, as well as a bigger dining area with a good variety of food trucks.

Council Chief Executive Hamish Riach said the 2022 glow event had been hugely popular and was attended by about 10,000 people over the three nights.

“So we are back in the same space and working to create another trail of special effects lights winding around the domain and Tinwald Plains historical precinct.

“We had such good feedback from the community at last year’s event that we want to make it a regular event. This year it’s been made possible by the enthusiastic support of local companies, including EA Networks, who are joining us as a Gold Sponsor.

“It is such a great night for everyone involved. People with small children can attend because it is dark early and this year the Monday is a public holiday so Sunday night might be bigger. The domain will be glowing and people of all ages will be able to enjoy it.”

The festival will start at 5.30pm on Friday 2 June.  It will close each night at 9.00pm.

Those coming to the event will be able to follow the signs to a free car park area off Maronan Road.
