EA Networks offers cabinets for art

With the help of the Creative Communities fund, EA Networks have partnered with Ashburton District Council to offer up three of their cabinets for painting this year.
The cabinets are at Isleworth Road, Hinds (outside the public toilets), Elizabeth Avenue, Rakaia, and Middle Road, Ashburton (near Argyle Park).
“We’re hoping this will attract local artists from Hinds, Rakaia and Allenton to submit their designs”, said Group Manager Community Services, Steve Fabish.
“We’re proud to partner, once again with EA Networks on a community project and we are excited to bring this initiative to our rural communities.”
Artists who want to apply to the EA Networks cabinet programme can apply and submit designs to governance@adc.govt.nz by 16 September and work is to be completed by 30 March 2023.
Artists will be paid between $400 and $1,000 (depending on the size of the cabinet) and up to $150 for materials.
The successful Chorus Cabinet programme inspired EA Networks to also offer up cabinets to deliver more vibrant local street art with the help of Ashburton District Council.
