The Foreign Nationals Support Programme | Visitor Care Manaaki Manuhiri has been extended from 30 September to 30 November 2020.
The Mt Hutt Memorial Hall, Mt Somers War Memorial Hall, Seafield Hall and Ashburton war memorial and cenotaph will each receive a share of $181,000 for repairs and renovations, thanks to Provincial Growth Funding (PGF) announced today by Regional Economic Development Minister Shane Jones.

Ashburton District Council secured 2nd Place in the ‘New Initiatives Project’ category announced on 2 October 2020. Auckland Council took 1st Place for its COVID‐19 Track and Trace solutions which were developed in-house in response to the emerging needs of the organisation during the COVID‐19 lockdown.
An event designed to deliver a night of fun, food and entertainment for the district's young people and families has also gotten behind a worthy local cause, raising $120.00 for the Kānuka Mid Canterbury Regeneration Trust.
