High country roads, Ashburton Gorge Road and Blackford Road, have been closed to non-residents to prevent travel in snow covered areas.

Access to the Ashburton Lakes is currently closed to non-residents at Hoods Road due to high levels of snowfall in the high country.

Blackford Road is closed to non-residents at State Highway due to high levels of snowfall in the high country.

Non-residents are advised to avoid both these areas.
