Long-Term Plan, update and next steps

Consultation for the 2021-31 Draft Long-Term Plan has ended (19 April) with over 420 submissions received, and 200 of those submissions coming in on the last several days of the consultation period.
Council Officers continue to process the submissions received which involves redacting any identifying information prior to posting all submissions online on the Council's ItsOurPlace.nz website. All submitters will have their submission(s) receipted, provided that correct contact information has been provided in the form of an email or postal address.
Once processed, submissions will then be summarised and prepared in a comprehensive report to the Mayor and Councilors. Any submitters wishing to speak to their submission will be contacted to arrange a time to have that opportunity at the Hearing scheduled for 11 May 2021.
Stay informed on any Long-Term Plan activities by visiting the Council's website (ashburtondc.govt.nz) or ItsOurPlace.nz.
