UV to be commissioned at Tinwald water treatment plant

Contractors are planning to commission new UV equipment at the Tinwald water treatment plant in the week 26-31 May and Council is advising residents that the work could affect water pressure.
A new concrete block building has been built for the UV equipment, which is an upgrade for the plant to comply with national quality assurance rules.
During the commissioning stage, there is potential for water pressure to be lower, though the contractors are aiming for a seamless transition.
The Tinwald bore and existing treatment plant is at the Tinwald Domain, and the well is one of eight on the Ashburton community supply.
