Dromore water shutdown: Monday 18 July

The Dromore water supply will be shut down for two hours on Monday 18 July whilst contractors work on electrical equipment at the Dromore water treatment plant.
The supply will be turned off from 10.30am until 12.30pm and there will be no water to residents.
Ashburton District Council Infrastructure Services Group Manager Neil McCann said most households connected to the supply had storage tanks and so would still have some water for essentials, like flushing toilets.
“We expect the work to take less than the two hours, but residents might like to conserve water so they don’t drain their tanks. The shutdown is part of necessary maintenance work to make sure the treatment plant runs as it should.”
