Council meeting on 5 October to begin at earlier time

The final meeting of the current Ashburton District Council will start early next Wednesday 5 October, at 10.30am, and include farewell speeches from four retiring Councillors.
Crs John Falloon, Diane Rawlinson, Angus McKay and Stuart Wilson are not seeking re-election in the local elections and the meeting on 5 October will be their final one. The make-up of the new council, mayor and Methven Community Board will be known after voting ends at noon on Saturday 8 October.
