Conserve water notice for Methven: Thursday 15 September

Methven residents are being asked to conserve water this Thursday 15 September between 11am-2pm to allow for further work on the upgrade of the town's water supply.
Sub-contractor, Tru-line will do the second cut-in outside the water treatment plant on the uPVC pipeline that will supply water into the town. The town will still have water supply on the other pipeline.
Residents can still have showers and flush toilets, but are asked to minimise or delay activity that would use large amounts of water during those times.
The work is an important part of the upgrade to Methven’s water supply. It's likely there will be further conserve water notices as construction of the membrane plant gets underway and the second new reservoir is completed.
The new treatment plant is designed to provide effective treatment even under extremely poor weather conditions and should remove the need for boil water notices for the Methven township.
