Due to Government announcements today (23 March) on the COVID-19 situation and the move to enter Level 3 and 4 alerts, the following proposed road closures and events have been cancelled:​

• ​EA Networks Centre Kids Triathlon (to be rescheduled)
• Ashburton Car Club Standing Quarter Mile Sprint
• Ashburton Returned and Services Association Anzac Day street parade
• Ashburton Car Club Street Sprints & Night Autocross
• Flying Kiwi Motorcycles Ltd land speed record attempt​

The Council understands that many people look forward to these annual events and we are hopeful that they will be able to resume next year.​
