Update: The planned road closure on Tancred Street tonight (19 November) has been postponed until Monday 23 November.

Tancred Street will remain open this evening, however will be closed to all traffic from 6pm 23 November until 6am Tuesday 24 November.

The road closure on Sunday 22 November is going ahead as planned.

​Residents are being advised to be mindful of changed traffic conditions in the Ashburton CBD this week, as Tancred Street closes on Thursday and Sunday evenings.

New water pipes that have been installed will be connected to the system overnight on 19 November, meaning Tancred Street will be closed to all traffic from ​6pm until 6am on Friday 20 November.

The road will again be closed on Sunday 22 November from 2pm until 12 midnight as the road is sealed.

​​The work is all part of the CBD streetscape upgrades being carried out by the Council's contractor, Tru-Line Civil.​
