Trees to come down in Methven cemetery

Methven residents are being advised that several trees in the Methven cemetery on Methven Chertsey Road will be felled at the end of May, with work expected to take up to two weeks to complete.
The Council will be logging the pine trees along the eastern boundary between the hours of 6am-4pm, Monday to Friday and it's anticipated the cemetery will be available to the community outside of those hours.
Logging operations will be stopped to accommodate any burials.
For their safety, residents are advised to avoid the cemetery while work is happening during the day. Signage will be displayed at the entrance to inform the community.
