Move over Richie Mo'unga ​and Kendra Cocksedge​ - Canterbury has some future stars coming through the ranks and they're tearing it up at the Mid Canterbury Rugby Union's rippa rugby comp at Argyle Park.

Thirty-five teams from across the district's local primary schools have been working their rugby skills every Tuesday evening this month.

Argyle Park has proudly played host to the fast-paced ​sevan-a-side games, with several grounds marked out across the park.

Staff from the Council's Open Spaces team have been keeping the grounds in shipshape condition ​to host the comp, attracting positive feedback from the comp's organisers about its "immaculate" state.
