Truck drivers and other essential service providers needing somewhere to stop and use the facilities during their travels can access several public toilets in the Ashburton District.​

The following facilites are available and are being cleaned more regularly to help reduce the spread of COVID-19.

• Hinds public toilet (State Highway 1)
• Ashburton Domain (main entrance, West Street/State Highway 1)​
• ​​Methven Town Centre toilets
• Mayfield Domain toilets (State Highway 72/Arundel Rakaia Gorge Road)

All other public toilets in the district have been closed for the duration of the lockdown.
