This week has proudly been all about the Ashburton Library and it has been a joy to hear so much positive feedback about the new facility within Te Whare Whakatere.
Ashburton’s new library opened this week with the sound of running feet, as children discovered tables piled with Lego and then sprawled in beanbags with books or tried the outdoor playground and slide.
With the El Nino weather pattern dominating summer and causing declining flows in the stockwater network, Council is providing regular updates for stockwater users.
Work to install 230 metres of new wastewater pipe on Cameron Street is on track to be completed by the first week of February.
UPDATE 22 JANUARY: Mount Somers water supply has been upgraded to Level 5 water restrictions, which is a conserve water notice.
