Tancred and Cass Street upgrades on track to finish before Christmas

Two teams of contractors are busy keeping the Ashburton CBD streetscape upgrades on schedule, with work happening day and night along Tancred Street this month.
Tru-Line Civil are laying new footpaths along the street and all of the upgrades along Tancred Street are on track to finish by 23 December.
Meanwhile, Cass Street is close to completion as well with the planting of new gardens and trees now well underway. Road signs and markings have started to be installed this week and - weather permitting, are expected to finish by the end of the week.
Street furniture, including seating and bins will then be installed along Cass Street by the first week of December.
In the New Year, upgrades will begin on East and Burnett Streets. East Street will be the first cab of the rank with work starting in early January from Moore Street heading north in the green area between the street and railway line. Work will progress to Burnett Street in early February.
