Fix-It Fair

About the event

After the success of Ashburton's first Fix it Fair in February, Ashburton Library and Keep Learning Mid Canterbury are teaming up to run another one on Saturday 9 August from 10.30am - 12.30pm

Pop along to the library where you'll find volunteers from local community groups able to fix your items or help you make a plan for where to get the item fixed if it can't be done there and then.

Why attend a Fix it Fair?

  • Reduce things being 'thrown away' into landfill
  • Save money and the earth's resources by getting things fixed instead of buying new
  • Learn about community groups
  • Learn skills of repair

The Fix it Fair is a free event. You can 'get tickets' here to give us an idea of numbers but it's just a 'pop in' event - so feel free to just turn up on the day with your items that need fixing and see if we can help!

The event will be held in the Ashburton Library from 10.30am - 12.30pm. See you on Saturday August 9th!
