What's on this April holidays?

Following the success of the first summer holiday What’s on Guide, an autumn holiday guide has now hit countertops at Council facilities.
The booklet offers 19 ideas for family-friendly activities at the Ashburton Library, EA Networks Centre and the Ashburton Art Gallery and Museum.
Ashburton Mayor Neil Brown said many of the activities are free and the guide highlights activities that might also suit teens.
“There are great ideas in the guide for young people and their families to come in and learn or create new things”.
“There are Easter and Anzac-themed activities or people could discover how good their singing voice sounds in the AV studio!”
People can pick up a copy of the guide at any Council facility or from Te Whare Whakatere or visit our website to download a digital version.
Activities include an Easter egg hunt, creating a time capsule, and water safety activities.
There’s also road trip bingo, dye and diarama artwork, vinyl cutting, laser printing and the EA Networks Centre school holiday childcare programme.
“There’s something for everyone to do in Mid Canterbury, you just have to know where to look – that’s what this guide helps people with.”
People can download the online copy of the guide here.
