Repair coming for hydro pool

The EA Networks Centre’s hydro pool will be closed for about a week from 7 April to address a sand filtration issue.
Other pools in the centre will not be affected but members will be emailed with the option to put their pool membership on hold.
Sport and recreation manager Richard Wood said sand was noticed in the pool early in March which indicated a lateral pipe failure.
“Luckily, we’ve been able to isolate the issue and run a workaround until replacement parts arrive.
“It’s like what happened with the leisure pool during our summer maintenance, but unfortunately there is no way to see issues like this before they happen.”
The hydro pool will be closed from Monday 7 April until Saturday 12 April and during the closure all aqua classes normally held there will be offered in the main pool.
When the hydro pool reopens on Saturday 12, inflatable park Aqualand will be set up in the main pool for three days.
