Author Emma Stevens

Emma Stevens is walking, talking proof of the fact that Internet dating sites can work very well.  She is also proof of the fact that the pioneering spirit of the Kiwi female is far from dead.  Emma’s decision to give Internet dating a whirl brought her a new life in Alaska, living and teaching with her new American partner in a remote Inuit village.  Talk about culture shock, talk about climate change, this author has walked the talk.  And in her three very readable books, she tells us all about it, the challenges and downsides as well as the breath-taking beauty and joyful encounters .

As we all know, the kiwi is a homing bird, if migratory at times.  So Emma is in New Zealand to talk about her experiences.  Join us at the Library at 7pm to meet Emma and hear about her books, which will be on sale.
