first ‘Nights of Lights’.

tree lighting at ‘Light Up the Night’; take a magical stroll along the ‘Festive
Walk’ on East Street; hit the right notes at two ‘Buskers Nights; and settle in
for a family favourite at ‘Movie Night’. Make this festive season an Ashburton Christmas to remember! Lock it in your calendar and be ready get your festive glow on!
Light Up the Night presented by EA Networks:Experience the Christmas season officially kicking off in Ashburton with the lighting of the giant Christmas tree. Treat
the family to a night of Christmas carols, performances, activities and food before
the Christmas tree comes to life. Food will be available to purchase from Lil Orbits, The Food Den, Mr Whippy, The Coffee Lady and Pita Pit. The festivities kick off from 6pm until 10pm

Festive Walk presented by Four Seasons Treecare Ltd:Light the way this Christmas along Ashburton's first Festive Walk on the East Street walkway. Take a stroll down the path from Friday 30 November until Friday 4 January and let the lights guide you on a magical experience under the stars.
Buskers Nights presented by the Ashburton Guardian and the Ashburton App:Feel the Christmas joy and sing along to all your favourites at our two Buskers Nights. Come along to Baring Square East on Friday 7 December and Friday 21 December from 6pm and hear our home grown talent as they share their music with you.
Movie Night presented by Farmers Ashburton:Round up the family and settle in for an outdoor screening of the 2000 festive favourite, How the Grinch Stole Christmas. Bring your chairs and blankets, and complete the movie experience with a tasty treat from Kettle Corn, Yes Chef and Mr Whippy.
Come dressed for the occasion in your best Grinch-themed outfit. There'll be a 'best dressed' competition for the kids before the movie starts.
