a Severe Gale Warning now in place for Canterbury south of the Rakaia River,
the Ashburton District Council is advising that it may have to close the
Ashburton and Rakaia Resource Recovery Parks tomorrow and Wednesday (8 and 9
May 2018). Kerbside collection services may also be affected.

the kerbside collection service cannot operate on Tuesday, residents’ will need
to follow the protocol for public holidays, and put their bins out one day
later than scheduled. For instance, Tuesday’s collection would be picked up on
Wednesday, Wednesday’s collection would be on Thursday, the Thursday collection
would be Friday and Friday’s collection would happen on Saturday.
