Thirteen staff from Ashburton District Council's finance and property departments shifted back into the Council building today, after working for several years in a nearby villa.
The staff are being accommodated in the former Council Chambers, which have been refurbished to provide the Council with more office space.
Members of the public, who have become accustomed to meeting property staff at the villa, will now need to visit the Council's front reception and ask for the person they need to see.
New Council Chambers are being created on the top floor of the former County Council building in Baring Square East. Before this space can be used, some false walls need to be removed and adequate lighting has to be installed.
