The Ashburton District Council's 2019 Pre-Election Report, a document designed to promote informed discussion in the lead-up to local body elections in October, is now available.
The report has been prepared to provide information that promotes public discussion about the issues facing the Council in advance of the upcoming elections, and is intended to assist voters in making an informed decision.
The report focuses on how the Council is performing financially, including the Council's current financial position. Additionally, it signals the key spending issues, and provides information on major projects the Council expects to deliver in the next three years.
The report was prepared by Chief Executive Hamish Riach and Council staff, independently of the Mayor and Councillors.
The report can be viewed and/or downloaded from the Council website.
More information about the 2019 local body elections, including the Candidate Nomination forms and Candidate Handbook are available on the Council website.
