Ashburton District's new sports and aquatic centre has a brand new website.
The website, eanetworkscentre.co.nz, reflects the EA Networks Centre as being the district's sports, aquatic and fitness hub.
Designed and developed by Datacom, the website is compatible with mobile devices and offers quick and easy access to useful information including fitness timetables, opening hours and swim school classes.
Sports Facility Manager Steve Prescott says the website is another tool, along with the EA Networks Centre Facebook page – with more than 1000 followers – which enables us to communicate with customers.
"We're really pleased with how the website looks and functions. It will be a key resource for people wanting to find out what's happening at the centre, details about membership options and casual prices, and for booking enquiries."
The centre's grand opening ceremony takes place on Saturday 9 May, commencing at 12.45pm, with Deputy Prime Minister Bill English officially opening the facility.
The milestone event is open to anyone who wishes to be part of the ceremony. After the ceremony invited guests and members of the public are welcome to have a look around the centre until 4pm.
For the opening ceremony, there will be no on-site parking available for members of the public. Those who are keen to come along will need to park their cars on the streets around the EA Networks Centre.
The facility will be open for the public to start using the pools, gym and courts the following day, Sunday 10 May (10am-5pm).
