Lake Hood residents are being advised that their council-supplied water
service will be temporarily unavailable on Saturday 19 January at 11.30pm for
two hours while maintenance is carried out.
Ashburton District Council will be carrying out network infrastructure
maintenance on the water scheme, which will require the system to be shut down
for a short period of time overnight.
Service Delivery Group Manager Neil McCann says, “We have chosen a time
for the work that will be of least disruption to residents. We expect the
system to be working as normal again at 1.30am. Thank you for your cooperation.”
Ashburton Contracting Limited (ACL) will be undertaking the work. Should
residents need to contact the contractor during the shutdown, they can phone
Aaron Gairns on 03 308 4039 or 027 284 1117.
Anyone with concerns about the planned shutdown are encouraged to contact
the Council on 307 7700.
