Keep your pets safe around fireworks

​​As Summer approaches and fireworks go on sale this weekend, Council is urging residents to take the correct safety precautions when letting off fireworks to ensure the welfare of pets and animals. We encourage all owners to keep their pets inside at night to avoid them becoming distressed by the loud noises.    ​

Dogs can become scared and may run away from their homes/owners. In case of this happening, please ensure that your dog is microchipped and has their collar and tag on.

Guy Fawkes night takes place Monday 5 November 2018 so keep in mind these key tips for keeping your animals safe:
