Minor repairs will be carried out on the EA Networks Centre's leisure pool, after the school holidays.
The pool, which features a sprinkler, a dumping water bucket, a lazy river and a pool for toddlers, will be closed from 20 to 24 July, reopening on Saturday 25 July.
EA Networks Centre Manager Steve Prescott said bubbles had appeared on the soft flooring around the water bucket and a jet nozzle in the lazy river needed to be refitted.
The main contractor for the pool will need to drain it to take a closer look at the flooring.
Neither of the issues is a safety hazard, which is why the Centre decided to wait until after the busy school holiday period to make the repairs.
"They are teething problems that you'd expect to come across in a new centre like this," Mr Prescott said.
The Ashburton District Council will not have to pay for repairs, as they will be covered under warranty.
"We're sorry for any inconvenience the pool closure may cause and we'll work as quickly as we can to get it up and running again," Mr Prescott said.
People will still be able to use the Centre's other three pools - the main 25-metre pool, hydrotherapy pool and Learn to Swim pool - which will be open as normal during this time.
