Ashburton District Council is now seeking applications from community groups for the second round of Biodiversity and Heritage Grant Funding for 2016/17.
Changes to the structure and processes for Council's grants and funding has meant there is now two funding rounds for the Biodiversity and Heritage Grants. The second round of funding has been added in recognition that the nature of biodiversity and heritage projects is often seasonal. Applicants could apply for funding now for spring/summer based projects.
The changes are a part of Council's work to make the community grants and funding processes clearer, and enable the community funding to be included in planning processes, particularly the Annual Plan and Long Term Plan.
Further information about the grant and funding application forms and criteria can be found on Council's website or from the Council office.
Applications close Monday 22 August 2016 at 9am.
