Ashburton District Council will begin conducting its 2015 Annual Residents' Survey on Thursday 14 May.
Carried out by a team of Canterbury-based interviewers from independent research company, Research First, the phone survey will involve a randomly-selected sample of residents from the district.
Council Policy Advisor Shivani Makwana says the survey focuses on residents' views and opinions on Council services and other Council-related matters.
"Our annual residents' survey is a valuable and accurate means to keep abreast of how satisfied our residents are with the services we provide and whether or not we are meeting residents' expectations," says Ms Makwana.
"It's also a very helpful way to identify any potential issues with Council services at an early stage."
Ms Makwana says the information provided by the survey will help Council to determine its work programme and budget priorities in the coming year.
Survey interviews start on Thursday 14 May and are expected to be completed on Friday 29 May.
The results will be available by July this year.
