Climate Resilience Plan
Council currently has a Climate Change Policy.
The policy was first adopted in 2019, and was subsequently reviewed in 2022. During the review, Council identified the need for an 'action plan', to help us to meet the goals of our policy. The Ashburton District Council adopted the final plan on 17 August 2022.
Climate change is a global challenge, and we want to play our part. This plan weaves together all of the climate change projects that Council is currently undertaking, and plans to take over the next 10 years.
