Part of Ashburton District Council’s role involves protecting and improving public health and safety of its residents.
The Environmental Services team aim to promote and protect the natural and physical environment of Ashburton district and protect the community from nuisance.
Environmental Health Covers a Range of Activities
· Registering and inspecting food outlets and hairdressing salons
· Investigating, resolving and monitoring nuisances and health hazards
· Investigate infectious diseases
· Monitor our drinking water
· Review resource and building consents for compliance with environmental health standards in both domestic and commercial situations
· Provide information and advice to you on general public health matters
