Only the EA Networks Centre's leisure pool will be closing for minor repairs next week, not the entire complex, according to EA Networks Centre Manager Steve Prescott.
"We have had a number of queries from people who have thought that work on the children's leisure pool meant all the pools would be closed," he said.
"I can assure everyone that it will be business as usual for the other pools and the rest of the Centre over the next few weeks. The leisure pool will only be closed from 20 to 24 July."
The pool, which features a dumping water bucket, lazy river and pool for toddlers, will be temporarily closed while bubbles in the flooring are investigated and a jet nozzle is refitted.
Neither issue is a safety hazard and Mr Prescott has described them as teething problems that you would expect in a new recreation facility. The Ashburton District Council will not have to pay for repairs, as they will be covered under warranty.
"We're sorry for any inconvenience the leisure pool closure may cause and we'll work as quickly as we can to get it up and running again," Mr Prescott said.
