Santa is coming to town – and the Museum

Ashburton Museum is inviting children to get into the Christmas spirit this month when the Great Santa Hunt gets underway on Wednesday 21 December at the Ashburton Museum.

Kids of all ages will go on an exciting torch-lit trip around the exhibition area in search of Santa's helpers hiding throughout the Museum, and go into the draw to win a prize.

"The Great Santa Hunt is a festive activity to help children celebrate Christmas in our district," Museum Director Tanya Robinson says.

"The exhibition will run throughout the remainder of December and January during the day time, but our initial hunt will start at 5pm on 21 December and the lights will be out, so don't forget to bring your torch," she adds.

The Great Santa Hunt will begin at the Ashburton Museum on Wednesday 21 December between 5pm and 7pm, and then again during business hours throughout the school holidays until 31 January 2017.
