District communities connected to a Council water scheme are being urged to be
extra vigilant with water use from Wednesday 21 December when a Level 1 water
restriction comes into effect.
in Ashburton, Hakatere, Methven, Rakaia, Chertsey, Fairton, Hinds and Mt Somers
will be on a Level 1 water restriction from 21 December until further notice,
as dry summer conditions begin setting in.

1 water restriction allows residents connected to a Council water scheme to use
