Infometrics data now available

Local businesses and organisations can start benefiting from the latest economic data that is now publicly available through Ashburton District Council.

Council has purchased the right to this information from Infometrics, a national company that compiles this data from organisations such as Statistics New Zealand, Inland Revenue Department and Paymark.

Council Community Relations Manager Vincie Billante says the new resource will be a fantastic tool for businesses to inform their strategic planning and policy decisions.

“Council is very pleased to provide the Infometrics economic reports for our district. This is an exciting step in empowering the community with reliable economic indicators for the district, and we hope to see Ashburton District organisations utilising this wealth of data to inform their business plans.”

Three types of reports will be accessible to download from the website – the Economic Profile, Quarterly Economic Profile and the Community Profile. The interactive nature of the website will also allow comparisons to be drawn between Ashburton District and other New Zealand districts whose information is publicly available.

“Infometrics sources data regularly from a wide range of organisations which ensures their analysis uses the most up-to-date information available,” Ms Billante adds.

The Infometrics economic reports are now available to all members of the public from our website.
