Assessment of Water & Sanitary Services
Ashburton District Council is required to assess water and sanitary services in the District in accordance with Section 125 of the Local Government Act 2002.
Water assessments include water supplies, wastewater and stormwater. Sanitary assessments include cemeteries, public toilets and solid waste services. The purpose of the assessments is to provide Council and the community with information regarding the current state and quality of water and sanitary services, to assess any risks identified, consider estimated future demand and consider options available to meet the current and future needs of the community. It is, therefore, an important input into Council future planning to ensure reliability of services to meet current and future demand.
Council invites you to have your say.To tell us what you think about the draft Assessment of Water and Sanitary Services please download the submission form (on the right hand side), attach your submission and send it in to Council.
You can also present your submission in person to Council at a submissions hearing, to do so please make sure you tick the box on the submission form. Submissions will be heard in person by Council on the 27th and 28th of May in conjunction with Community Plan submissions.
