Ashburton District Council comprises of a Mayor and elected councillors representing Ashburton, Eastern and Western wards.
An Extraordinary Vacancy has occurred in the Eastern Ward. Nominations will open on 17 January with a By-Election day, if required, on 4 April 2012.
