Update October 2011 - New State of the Community Report has been released!
The State of the Community Report provides a snapshot of a variety of aspects of community life here in Ashburton District and measures our progress towards achieving our seven community outcomes.
Our community outcomes address the following key areas for our district:
1. Economy
2. Environment
3. Identity and Heritage
4. Education
5. Safety
6. Recreation
7. Democracy
These community outcomes were identified in a consultative process with the community in 2005.
The first State of the Community Report was published in 2009, which provided a snapshot in time of our community and established a baseline for future monitoring and reporting.
The 2011 State of the Community Report has now been released, which tracks progress and trends in each of the seven outcomes.
The information in this report provides key information about Ashburton District that can be used by Council, government agencies, community organisations, businesses and individuals for research, planning and other information requirements.
