Council's Plan for the next 10 years...
Ashburton District Council adopted its 2012-22 Long Term Plan on 28 June 2012. The Plan is Council’s blueprint for the future detailing what we will do over the next ten years, how much it will cost; and what we are expecting to achieve for our community.
What you told us:
The views of the community are important in the development of the Long Term Plan. Council sought community views on the draft Long Term Plan for a four week consultation process beginning on 12 April 2012.
Council received 312 submissions to the draft Long Term Plan 2012-22. A number of changes were made to the Plan as a result of submissions. Some of these changes are quite minor in nature, while others are of significance in terms of projects to specific communities. The key decisions made which altered the draft Plan are outlined on pages 7-8 of the document. (Volume 1, part one).
All submitters will be responded to in writing by the end of July 2012.
